This custom-made coffee table is part of a 3 piece set and features beautifully figured walnut everywhere you look. The table top is a live edge slab with a dark blue resin river running through the center to accent the dark tones and figure of the walnut top.
The bases were made using solid walnut and dowel joinery. The contemporary geometric design is inspired by Japanese and Scandinavian furniture, focusing on simplicity and function.
The top is finished with Rubio Monocoat (a natural oil and wax finish) for durability and to bring out the natural beauty of the wood as well as a ceramic coating for strength and durability.
Nano Ceramic Coatings are scientifically formulated to penetrate microscopic surface pores to provide a bonding layer of protection that is incredibly strong and resilient. Ceramic coatings work by adhering with the surface to form a protective shield that is next to diamond in hardness and hydrophobic causing liquid to bead on the surface.
